The George Brugler & Jasmine Cowen Collection, Melbourne

Daisy Stone was a foundation member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors and studied at the National Gallery School between 1888-1895 and subsequently with May Vale privately. She came from a distinguished family with her sister Emma Constance Stone the first woman to practice medicine in Australia.
