Thirteenth Annual Exhibition of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales, 1892

Ethel Stephens was the first pupil of Julian Ashton and began to exhibit at the Royal Art Society of New South Wales in 1883. In 1892, the year of this portrait, she was elected to the Council of the Art Society of New South Wales.
